What Powers Satellites?
There are 2 parts of a satellite:
DISH, a WiFi company, uses a satellite dish installed on the side of your roof. When you watch TV, the broadcast travels from the programming source to the direct broadcasting by satellite provider broadcast center to the satellite dish to the receiver.
A satellite also has an attached camera to take pictures in space.
Here is an example diagram of how a TV broadcast gets to the TV.

- The power source which can be anything from solar panels to electricity to batteries
